This merchant marine freighter lies bow down in 25 to 45 feet of water. But she has an interesting history. The 360-foot ship sank after running into the USS Tuttle in 1942 during WWII. She was salvaged then used as target practice by the Army Air Corp (later known as the U.S. Air Force). She was dynamited after she became a navigational hazard. And now she is home to large schools of grunts, snapper and goatfish.
